Details:
The festival is not providing dinner, but we're working on the possibility of having food available onsite. We'll keep you updated!
You can come and go as much as you like.
Goldie's will have tasty beverages of all sorts available all day. Please support this awesome local business!
The kids workshop is open to kids ages 6-14 who have played a melody instrument for at least one year.
The adult workshop is open to those 15+ who have played a melody instrument for at least one year. Advanced kids under 15 are also welcome.
The session is free, and open to everyone (including listeners). Bring your instruments!
You don’t need to have any experience to attend the contradance. Just bring a second pair of shoes to dance in so we can keep the floor clean.
Concert seating is general admission.
Folks under 21 years of age are very welcome at all events as long as they're accompanied by a parent or guardian.
We're really excited to see you soon! -C&C
P.S. I'm bad at asking for help and tend to do everything myself (for better or worse...usually worse, ha!). But the hit we took from having our whole tour canceled in February was pretty severe. There are a few things I could use help with this time around if you're so inclined.
By far the most helpful is also the easiest: If you know anyone who might enjoy attending, please let them know! If anyone would like to help out on the day of - checking people in, selling CDs, etc. - I would be grateful for an extra set of hands. (Free admission of course.)
It's always rather terrifying to put on events like this, because I never know whether revenues will cover expenses. Usually I squeak by somehow. But in February, there were expenses with no revenue...worst case scenario!!! Such is the life of a musician (made more roulette-like by Covid), but we're now trying to cover the expenses of two events with the revenues from one. If you know of any individuals or businesses that might be interested in contributing or sponsoring this time around, would you have them get in touch (hello@caitlinwarbelow.com), or let me know how to get in touch with them? Thank you!
Lastly, if you can't attend, or if you'd also like to support my now decades-long efforts to bring music to rural Alaskan schools and communities, you can do so here. (On this trip we're also visiting Beaver, Healy, and Denali to work with schoolkids and perform.)
Thank you, truly.
